What we collect
When you create an account we keep your name, email address, phone number (if you give it), and the details you add to your profile. If you attend, serve or ask for care, the church keeps simple records of that: attendance, ways you have served, and the prayer or care requests you send. If you write to us, subscribe or send a request, we keep what you send.
How we use it
We use it to run the life of the church: to welcome you, to keep the member and guest lists, to care for you and to contact you about church programmes. Prayer and care requests are seen only by the pastoral team. We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.
What other members can see
On the community wall and under lessons, other people can see your first name, the first letter of your last name, and what you write there. Your email, phone number, attendance and care requests are never shown to other members.
Cookies
We use a cookie to keep you signed in and to protect forms from misuse. If the church has switched on statistics, a statistics cookie is only set after you accept it in the cookie notice.
Keeping it safe
Passwords are stored in a scrambled form that even the church office cannot read. Access to member records is limited to the church staff who need it.
Your choices
You can change your details in your account at any time. To see what we hold about you, to correct it or to ask us to delete it, write to info@churchofgod.com. We will answer as soon as we can.
This page is written in plain words as a starting point. The church should read it, adjust it to local law and its own practice, and keep it up to date.
